I agree what you said especially about your right being taken away from you if you are a suspected terrorism. I feel that it could go wrong if someone is being suspected to be a terrorist is shot down and later we found out it wasn't them. I believe that takes away the "you're innocent until proven guilty." I hope this does not get pass because we could be losing our rights if it does.

Justice System

I’m sure that many people have seen or heard about how our justice system works. Most don’t like it because sometime it seems like someone did not receive what they deserve. This could be more than they deserve or less than they deserve. I hope one day we could change how the justice system work because it seem like it a game and we are just seeing how it would turn out. Not to mention that sometime people are put in jailed and many years later they are found guilty. That is one thing we cannot do in my opinion because you just took a person life away for something they didn’t do. We do give them compensation but I mean it should have not been that way. It seem like our justice system is bad and even failing. Sometime it does work but it does not cancel out the many time that the justice system screws someone over. In my opinion they should also change that a person could only be try once for that crime. My reason is what if a person got away with it the first time because of evidence being tampered  or there was not enough evidence. They get let go but later on you found evidence that points to them and you can’t do anything about it because they can only be tried once. In my mind that is not Justice being serve but justice went wrong. There many people that would like the justice to be change and I hope it does one day.

I agree with what you said about how the government should do something other than doing the fat tax. It is true that to eat healthy you have to spend more money which I think is the major reason why people don't eat healthy. Especially during hard time when money is something people can't spend like they want to. I think the government should somehow make healthy food more cheaper and like you said have more exercise time. Could be adding more time to recess or whatever. I really think that fat tax is never going to work because it is just easier and cheaper to go to McDonald's or Wendy's and order from the dollar menus. Another reason why I think obesity is going up is because people eat process food. It is a fact that you with get bigger if you eat lots of process food than fresh food.

National Government

I think our National Government is doing a bad job with their so call war on drugs. I believe so because the illegalness of particularly marijuana is actually making the black market stronger. If they would have legalize and regulates it not many people would I think would turn to the black market. Another reason is that the people that were jailed for marijuana possession is getting their life ruin for something I think should be treated like alcohol. The people are paying taxes to keep them in the prison and I don’t think we should be spending our tax money on keeping those people in prison. To me having marijuana is like having beer all the government need to do is regulates it. It not like the war on drugs is working because many people can get marijuana easily. I think it should be like how it is in Colorado or Washington. I think it could work on other drugs but not marijuana because so many people now a day have gotten to it. Also I also think it does have medical benefits particularly to cancer patient and anxiety issue. Either way if many people lands in jail and still many people buys from the black market then the War on Drugs is definitely not working. It better to just regulates it and treat it like alcohol because it keeps less people in jail which means less money spent on jail and it can keep the black market at a weaker point than being strong during this prohibition.

Blog #4 Student suspended for shaping Pop-Tart into gun

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2993419/posts

The story of a seven year old boy who was suspended two days for shaping a pop tart into a gun and making gun sounds. It sound like what a seven year old kid would do and that is exactly why I think it was ridiculous that he was suspended. My reason is that we are a country living in feared where anything that shows even a tiny bit of violence can have consequences. I also feel like we are so paranoid now. Sure we been through tough time with the school shootings but it is taking it to the next level. The kid was just making a gun out of a pop tart. Is he hurting anyone? No. He is just being a kid. When I was young we used to play gun fight with each other using our fingers and no one said anything so why should it be now. Almost everyone and the author of the blog agree that they have gone too far. Another story like this is when a middle school student was told he had to turn his shirt inside out because the shirt he was wearing had two guns on it. The problem I have with it was even if he had guns on his shirt it was in support of the Marine Corps and I feel that it was really bizarre because once again we are living in feared. I could understand if both of these kids brought bb guns to school and got suspended but for a shirt and a pop tart?

Blog #3 Guns, Teacher and Police.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2013/02/17/armed-teachers-guns-schools/1926373/

The article from USA Today talks about arming teacher with guns. Alabama Senator a former Marine Bill Holtzclaw opposes the idea because he doesn’t want inexperience teacher carrying guns around. I agree with the article because teachers are not there to shoot people and I think this is going overboard. I also agree that instead they should hire more policemen to do the job because after all it is their job to protect us from harm. This article talks about what would happen if the teacher is inexperience with a gun and might do more harm than good. Examples are if the teacher accidently shoots a student under confusion from a shooting. So I think it is best to leave the shooting to trained professional like the police for they are trained for these kinds of situation. The article intended audience would be anyone wanting to know what they are going to do with guns. I feel it leans towards the people that support gun rights but I think the other side wants to know what is going on too. The article credibility is good because it has many creditable people interviewed and it sound very logical. Logically no one would want and inexperienced person holding a gun because no matter how much training they have they still lack experience and something might go wrong. If it passed I see something might go wrong because it could backfire and causes for harm. Overall I think we should leave it to the police to handle.

Blog #2 President Obama and Gun Control

According to USA Today on February 4th President Obama went to Minneapolis to talk about gun laws. Minneapolis is one place in the United States with the most murder rate that involves guns. The President wants to have a ban on assault rifle and have a limit on ammunition clips. The NRA does not want to have a background check every time someone buys a gun because they said it would so little to stop criminal from getting those guns. Minneapolis Police said that every time they recover a gun at a crime scene they traced it back to an owner. The problem was that the gun was either lost or it was given to someone else. So a gun could have been transfer about fifteen times before it reaches the police. This article is worth reading because it tells us what the Nation is thinking about gun laws. As you can see for the pass couple months guns has been on the top list of news so I think it is worth reading.
